It´s as easy as that.Įvrything (Did i say Spellsinger of life and there heal spells used on Tree men ? )īad diplomacy with the other elves, but what the heck see Pros.
Get back to your main town, deploy your Branchwrait in your province to boost public order (you can wait and take out a rebelion for gold and XP) upgrade your town so you can build Tree men.īuild a army with a ♥♥♥♥ load of tree men and take the province just to the west (Paravon) so you can get a trade rout out, if not your boxed in with only two trade partners (tree with Paravon).Ī army with alot of tree men and 6 archers, can take out almost evrything in the begining.įrom here, try and get to the harbor towns to the west, take a few of them build a new army and you have won. bring your Branchwrait into your army, take out the two dwarf towns your in war with from the start, this can be done quite quickly. If you train your Lord in personal combat skills you have failed. Elves excel at skills that boost all units, not like the other factions, where its only certain units. And no you don´t need lightening attacks or other combat that only buffs your hero. Who cares by now, with a army of experienced soldiers you win evrything. Upgrade the skills that buffs your archersħ. 3 points in both Swinging Boughs and Shild of the forrest (Now you have a lord with some extremly goood buffs to all your melee units.Ħ. Now you can take Ever reaching tendrillsĥ. Asurans command (+5% archer damge (Orion only))Ĥ. 3 points in the forest roars (+12 to attack and defence on ALL units insanly good skill)ģ. Call of the woods (DONT TAKE Ever reaching tendrills +10% move range, you don´t need that to begin with)Ģ. tech will give you some extremly good buffs to your army.įrom this do as you please, though i do recomend going for the last top tech Cadai +30diplo relations to evryone, this will make you a good among diplomats.ġ. This will give you less unrest, good diplo skills with the human races and good income on port towns (this is ecential) and the 4. This cost you 3 amber, so DON´T upgrade the Oak of agess Addioth bringer of fire (+20 armor to ALL units) Go for (including the not metioned tech on the way)Ĥ.
And free xp to a trained lord, that can command a new army when you have the profit is just a extra but great side effect. Yes the extra lord cost some money and the rebuild is more expensive, but its still a better profit than a idle army costing 3-5k per turn, and you dont get wiped out by a suprise attack. Make love not war with the other elves, you confederate these guys later in the game, untill then they are great for protecting your ♥♥♥ against goblins, orces, humans or what ever filth that attacks you.ĭont rush the tree of ages, i usualy dont do any upgrades on it before turn 15-30, you dont need it, go for the tech instead.īring a lord with you own army, raise all towns, they usualy give 15-30K of gold, dont rebuild with your main army, use the secondary lord to do this, so your main army can fight the next battle, and not stay idle, rebuild its troops.
Spend amber you don´t have, by this I mean if you get amber from an alliance or towns you can easily lose, don´t use it, if you do only on units you can afford to dispand again a bad option But if you follow these steps, you should be off to a good start. I have only played on Legendary and yes i have had my restarts, especialy with Orion. Its slow in the begining and sudenly you are all powerfull. Just rember, the wood elves is not a nation where you take 3-5 towns in the first 10 turns.
I made a "small" guide, since i saw many have problems with the wood elves, i guess you just have to get used to them, and they become quite easy.
